We’re pleased to announce the grand opening of the new San Francisco Go Club location in Japan Center mall. Information on our location can be found on our website.
Please join us to celebrate this momentous event by taking part in our first Go tournament at the dojo on Saturday March 19th from 10am to 5pm. Celebrations, awards ceremony, and presentations for the future plans of the space will begin at 6pm. If you cannot make the tournament please join us at 6pm for the celebrations.

The dojo will finally be finished with essential renovations and setup. Our last renovations include quality lighting installation, sound dampening installation, and kitchen installation. Here is what the dojo now offers:
- 12 tables able to host up to 50 players simultaneously.
- Glass and Ing stones with good quality boards.
- Kitchen area with fridge, microwave, and sink.
- Lounge area with couches, chairs, coffee tables, and TV.
- Library of hundreds of Go books and magazines.
- Remote work stations with office desks and chairs.
- Free WiFi for all members.
- Historic wall of pictures, paintings, calligraphy, and scrolls documenting the over 100 years of club history.
- Tatami mats with floor Go boards and high quality slate and clamshell stones.
- Private spacious bathroom separate from the Japan Center mall.
Tournament details (can also be found on the registration page)
This is a manual-paired 3-round tournament with prizes for first, second, and third place (by greatest number of wins). Players will be paired together at the start of every round.
This tournament is open to all ranks and ages.
You may participate for any number of rounds, you do not need to attend all three rounds to play. For example, you might only want to play Round 2 and 3 if morning is not your thing.
Members play for free. Please do not pay on Eventbrite if you are a member.
