Happy holidays! The year is almost over and what better way to celebrate than by playing a few rounds of Go?

On Saturday December31st the San Francisco Go Club is hosting a Go (囲碁/围棋/바둑) tournament in memory of Taiwan Go Association leader Guang Yu. The friendly tournament is being sponsored by the Taiwan Go Association.

Hundreds of dollars in cash prize for division winners.

Free T-shirts for event participants.

Lunch is provided.

Top 3 winners for each division will receive certificates for their achievement.

American Go Association membership is NOT required and the games will NOT be rated with the AGA.

Tournament Details

– 3 round friendly tournament

– 30 minutes with 5x30s Byo-yomi per game

– Cash prizes for division winners

- T-shirts for tournament participants

- Lunch provided

– Certificates will be awarded to the top 3 players of each division*

*Number of divisions depends on the number of players signed up

Schedule

– 9:30am – Registration

– 10:00am – Round 1 (followed by a break for lunch)

– 1:00pm – Round 2

– 3:00pm – Round 3

– 5:00pm – Awards Ceremony
